The chart shows the amount of European people of varying ages who went to the gym once or more over the span of a month during two decades (1990 – 2010).

As time passes the first thing that stands out from the chart is how for all ages the amount of times that people went to the gym rises, whether it was a slight rise as it happened for the people in their mid-forties and over, who only saw an increase of 20% over these twenty years. Or on the other side, we have the people from 18 to 24 who reached a peak of the time spent exercising in 2004 when over half of them were doing it, although this particular group did have a slight decrease in the people going to the gym during the mid two thousands, but it increased again by 2010.

For the people with ages from 25 to 34 they had a similiar growth compared to the previous group even having the same amount of people going to the gym in 1998. However, they only reached and increased of 50% of people going during these two decades. Lastly, the Europeans aged 35 to 44 had a steady rise until 2006 when the amount of peoplegoing to the gym soared from only 20% to double the amount by the end of the decade.
