In general, there was a noticeable disparities in the strategies employed by four countries for mitigating greenhouse emissions.
Notably, a significant proportion of respondents in Portugal opted for government regulations to resolve the environmental issue, ranking first among other countries and standing at 40%. In stark contrast to people from Holland, only less than 15% of them relied on government interventions. Meanwhile, similar percentage of residents in Portugal and Poland chose to make lifestyle adaptations, accounting for one third of its population which was three times higher than that of other two countries.
Advanced technology was a preferred approach for Portuguese and Hollanders to reduce carbon footprint, both taking up 30% which was equal to the figure for Portuguese and Polish who decided to make lifestyle changes. Nonetheless, people who resort to alternative methods reveals a divergent trend.
