The chart illustrates the information about citizens’ consumption of tea and coffee in six countries in 2015.
Overall, the citizens of Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United States preferred coffee, while tea was the main option for residents of Russia and Turkey. Whereas, the United Kingdom citizens consumed tea and coffee at the same level.
The highest figures of coffee consumption were in Canada and the United States having just above 6.2 and 5.5 kg per person, respectively. New Zealand residents consumed coffee just below 4 kg, while Australia and the United Kingdom reported the same level at 3 kg. For Turkey the number was 2 kg per capita, while Russian people were the least consumers having just above 1 kg per capita.
Tea was preferred in Turkey, having 5 kg per person. In the United Kingdom tea was consumed as much as coffee at 3 kg, while Russian residents preferred tea over coffee with approximately 2.5 kg. Whereas, New Zealand, Australia and Canada reported 1.2 kg, 1 kg and 0.8 kg per person, respectively.
