Overall, coffee consumption was higher than tea in most countries, while Turkey was the only country where tea consumption significantly exceeded coffee. Additionally, UK is the only place where tea and coffee were equally consumed, whereas Canada and United States recorded the highest level of coffee intake.
Firstly, in Canada, average coffee consumption was around 6.25kg per capita, the highest value among all countries listed. The U.S. followed with approximately 5.5 kilograms, while New Zealand also showed relatively high consumption at around 4 kilograms. In contrast, Australia consumed about 3 kilograms per person, whereas the figures were noticeably lower in Turkey and Russia, at roughly 1.5 and 2 kilograms respectively. When it comes to the United Kingdom, it stood at around 3 kilograms, indicating a moderate level compared to other countries.
Regarding tea, Turkey had by far the highest figure, at around 5 kilograms per capita, making it the clear leader. The United Kingdom followed with approximately 3 kilograms, while Russia recorded about 2.5 kilograms. However, Australia and New Zealand showed much lower levels, at roughly 1 and just over 1 kilogram respectively. Finally, Canada and Unites States had the lowest figures, both remaining below 1 kilogram per person.
