The graph shows the wind energy production in four countries from 1985 to 2000.
Overall, it is clear that the wind energy production in India, Denmark, and Germany grew over the period, while the figure for the US fluctuated. From 1985 to 1995, energy production in the US always remained the highest, but in 2000, Denmark surpassed the US in energy production.
Looking closely at the chart, the wind energy production of India and Denmark stood at about 200 megawatts while the figure for Germany was 400 in 1985. In the next 5 years, the amount of wind energy generated in India and Denmark doubled whereas the figure for Germany increased for about 250 megawatts. In 1995, the amount of energy produced in India equal to the figure for Germany at 800 megawatts while the figure for Denmark rocketed to 1200 megawatts. In 2000, India surpassed Germany in producing wind energy and Denmark become the highest producing wind energy.
Turning to the United States, it is the highest generating wind energy when the production stood at 1200 megawatts. In the next 5 years, the amount of wind energy in USA reached the highest point at 1650 megawatts before fall gradually to 1500 megawatts in 2000. In 2000, United States become the 2nd highest producing wind energy, after loosing their lead to Denmark.
