The graphic above demonstrates numbers of leisure time spent by variety of employment status (from fully employed, partly employed, unemployed, retired, and housewives) which then categorized by gender between 1998 to 1999. In general there is no specific trend illustrated from the graph, but it has markable differences in each of the category.
The graph shows data for male and female from three employment status namely employed full time, unemployed, and retired. Apart from that, the other 2 employment status which is employed part time and housewives show data for female only. Unemployed and retired group are on the top list that have the amount of leisure time spent in 2 years accordingly 85 and 80 hours per week for male and 79 hours per week for female. However, all the other groups shows moderate numbers below 50 hours per week that can be influenced by busyness and other activities.
In conclusion, the graph portrays that sex and status influenced sum of leisure time spent over the year. Even though, it still can be says that there are other factors that influence the data and needs to be taken into account in this analysis.
