Overall, Organisation 2 experienced by far the most substantial increase and became the largest contributor by 2010 and 2011. In contrast, Organisations 4 and 5 generally reduced their financial support over the period. Organisation 3 remained a relatively significant donor despite some fluctuations.
In 2008, Organisation 3 was the largest contributor, providing approximately $1.5 billion, followed by Organisation 2 at around $1.25 billion. The latter then increased its contribution steadily, reaching about $1.5 billion in 2009, before rising sharply to approximately $2.4 billion in 2010 and $2.6 billion in 2011. This made Organisation 2 the clear leading donor by the end of the period.
Organisation 3, meanwhile, rose slightly from $1.5 billion in 2008 to roughly $1.75 billion in 2009, before falling to about $1.4 billion in 2010 and recovering to $1.5 billion in 2011. Organisation 1 also showed a relatively modest pattern, increasing from approximately $0.6 billion in 2008 to $0.9 billion in 2009, then declining slightly to around $0.7 billion in each of the final two years.
The remaining organisations provided considerably less funding. Organisation 4 fell from roughly $0.7 billion in 2008 to about $0.35 billion in 2011, while Organisation 5 declined more noticeably, from approximately $1.2 billion to just under $0.5 billion over the same period.
