The diagram below shows the amount of different activities spent in their downtime by teenagers versus older generations in the US in 2015.
Overall, it is noticeable that elders preferred to spend time watching television in their recreation period, as well as teenagers; the statistics of both dominate the whole graph. However, sparing time for relaxing and thinking is not a choice for teenagers.
Regarding the outstanding figure, most older people spent 4 hours and a half hours watching Tv programs, the opposite was true for playing games interests, which was the lowest hour in general accounted for old people, slightly stood at half an hour. Teenagers’ figure was no exception; they spent half of 5 hours watching TV, in contrast with their zero interest in relaxing-thinking activities.
Moreover, the number of hours spent in both age categories in reading sections was in approximate contrast to those of playing games on the computer. Finally, older people preferred more time to think, spending 1 hour per day, rather than active teenagers who were eager to spend 30 minutes on sports each day.
