Two charts illustrate the shifts in ownernship of electrical appliances and total of time consumed doing housework in households in particular nation from 1920 to 2019. Overall, the figure of households appliances experienced a significant increase trend for all three items. Meanwhile, the number of hours spent on housework decreased steadily throughout the years.

Looking at the first chart, three appliances showed a different upwards. Washing machine saw a initial rise from 40% to 70% between 1920 and 1960. Despite a modest downwards in 1980, the percentage slightly improved by around 12% in 2019. Meanwhile, refrigator increased dramatically to 90%, becoming the highest percentage in 1960. The figure rose steadily by 10% before remaining stable over the years.
