The graph shows the changes in burglary, car theft, and robbery cases in Manchester city center from 2003 to 2012.
At the beginning, car theft was the highest, with around 3,500 cases in 2003. It increased slightly in 2004 but then started to drop a lot until 2008, where it reached around 1,000 cases. After that, the number stayed quite stable, with small fluctuations.Burglary cases started at about 2,500 and had small ups and downs for some years. However, from 2008 onwards, the trend was mostly upwards, reaching around 2,750 in 2012.Robbery was the least common crime throughout the period. It remained below 1,000 cases all the time and had only small changes. There was a little increase around 2005, but after that, it stayed mostly stable with no big changes.
Overall, car theft was the most serious problem at the beginning but decreased a lot, while burglary increased in the later years. Robbery did not change much during the whole time.
