The chart displays the distinct levels of post school qualifications in Australia and the percentage of males and females who got those degrees in the year 1999.
There was a major difference of proportion between men and women in skilled vocational diploma. Nearly 90 percent of males cleared their diploma in the skilled vocational, whereas, only 10 percent of females have their qualification in this. On the other hand, the percentage of males is exactly half of the percentage of females who held their education in the undergraduate diploma.
It has been observed that in the Bachelor’s degree, the ratio of both the genders is approximately equal having a minor difference of 10 percent. Coming to the Postgraduate diploma, more than double of the men have held that qualification compared to women. Similarly, around 60 percent of males have done masters in their field of interest, while females ratio is recorded to 40 percent in the same.
Overall, it is clearly seen that, males proportion dominated over females ratio in 3 qualification levels out of total 5 qualification levels.
