The bar graph illustrates the percentage of men and women in different levels of post-school qualifications in Australia in 1999.
Overall, there was a high proportion of males with skilled vocational diploma, post-graduate diploma, and master’s degree as compared to females at 1999. Additionally, a high number of females were recorded to have undergraduate diploma and bachelor’s degree in Australia.
In detail, males with skilled vocational diploma in Australia was all-tume high at nearly 90% while females with the same qualification was only 10% in 1999. Moreover, 7 out of 10 males had a postgraduate diploma, whereas, only 3 out of 10 females had the same degree. Furthermore, the percentage of males was 20% greater than females with master’s degree at 60% inthe same year.
Another notable observation is that females with undergraduate diploma was twice the percentage of males at 70%. On top of that, females with bachelor’s degree was just over 50%, slightly higher than males in Australia with the same post-school qualification at more than 40%.
