To begin with, in 2000, around 41% of Canadian women used the internet for sending e-mails. On the other hand, approximately 48% of men utilized for that goal. Moreover, 28% of males used social networks, whereas only 24% of females employed the internet for this aim.
In sharp contrast, compared to the previous statistics, 13% of Canadian men used the internet for buying goods from online shops. By contrast, 19% of women utilized for online shopping. Furthermore, 18% of young males employed the internet for other activities; however, only 9% of young females utilized for that reason.
