The graph illustrates how many households obtain a particular yearly income from 2007 to 2015.
Overall, the annual income of 100000 or more dominated the most, while the household who earned $75000 to $99999 took the bottommost position throughout the year.
In 2007, there were just below 30 million households that had a yearly income of 100000 or more, while people who earned between $75000 and $99999 saw the least, with just under 15 million. Furthermore, around 27 million households earned between 25000 and 49999, making it the second most common income; whereas, the number of households who earned yearly incomes of less than $25000 and $50000-74999 follow in third and fourth places, with 25 million and just over 20 million, respectively.
With that being said, from 2011 to 2015, over a period of 4 years, although the number of people who earned a yearly income of $75000 to $99999 remained the same, households with 100000 or more experienced a slight increase from well over 25 million to around 32 million. Additionally, households with annual incomes of $25000 to $49999 and less than $100000 saw a slight decline from just under 30 million and nearly 28 million to around 28 million and nearly 27 million, respectively.
