In 2000, the amount of individuals migrating to the nation of Germany consisted of a diverse melting pot of different nationailties, Europe being the majoirity with 30 million immigrants alone, followed up by America in second place being home to around 23 million, then Oceania with 11 million, East Asia with 15 million, and lastly South Asia being the smallest contributor of 6 million.
Notably, 2010 was witness to considerable fluctuation in the amount of immigrants, with the prevoius largest home of immigrants of Europe staying on top inspite of a 5 million decrease from 30 to 25 in the last decade. Conversely, East Asia’s amount of immigrants increased the most from 2000, spiking from 15 to 24 million, while Oceania’s numbers increased to around 23 million from 16 million a decade earlier, whilst American immigrants plummeted form 23 to 13 million.
And finally, Africa and South Asia were relativly the same between the two time periods having only increased 1 million and decreased 1 million respectively.
