The line graph depicts the quantity of people participating in various sports activities at Santon Sports Club from 1990 up till now.
Overall, involvement in fitness classes and circuit training has risen sharply, whereas the figures for racquet sports and swimming have been volatile. Notably, circuit training has become the club’s leading physical activity in the current year.
In 1990, racquet sports emerged as the most popular physical exercise, closely followed by swimming, with 290 and 250 members respectively. However, participation in tennis racquet saw a steep fall of 90 players by 1995 and continued its gradual decline in recent years. Likewise, the number of swimmers decreased initially to merely under 225 in 1995, but later rebounded to approximately 250, returning to its original level.
In stark contrast, fitness classes, which were the least popular activity in 1990 with only 120 participants, rocketed to 220 members, surpassing racquet sports and swimming by the present day. Similarly, circuit training, which started at roughly 150 people, exhibited the most significant growth in contemporary days, peaking at nearly 300 members.
