Overall, we can see that charity and convenience stores have been rising in openings, while banks, DVD rentals, photography shops and women’s clothing have been on a decline.
Further more, we can see that banks had almost 70 ventures closed, while others have surpassed the 100 ventures mark. DVD rentals have only moved by a small margin, while women’s clothing has around 125 ventures closed. Notably, photography store has hit an all time low of almost 150.
In contrast, Convenience stores have been on a steady rise of openings for the 50 ventures mark, while Charity shops have almost hit the double amount, showing a strong rise compared to the other shops. This portrays that people prefer convenience stores and charity shops more than niche stores like photography shops and others.
