Overall, it is evident that there were distinct trends in the number of passengers using three different vehicles. Specifically, while train and bus witnessed an upward trend, the opposite was true for train over the period shown. It is also noteworthy that tram surpassed bus and train to become the most popular transport in the final year.
Looking at the tram categories, which initially started at around 20 thousand commuters, consitituting the lowest position. Thereafter, this witnessed a constant increase respectively to exactly 25 thousand and slightly over 50 thousand tram-goers in 2013 and 2014 before surging to nearly 100 thousand passengers in the final year, claiming the leading position.
Regarding the number of train commuters, over 75 people used train in the first year, which was the most appealing means of public transport. One year later, the figures for train took the plunge to only around 18 thounsand passengers before recovering to nearly 30 thousand and continuosly increasing to around 60 thousand commuters in 2015, finishing in the second place.
Turning to the remaining transport, there was a fluctuation in the number of bus-goers over the three-year period, which started at the second place with slightly over 50 passengers. Notably, passengers were most attracted by bus in 2013 and 2014, with a minimal decrease to around 40 thousand in the former year and a recovery to nearly 75 thousand people in the latter year. 2015 witnessed a decline to nearly 55% in the number of bus passengers, making it the least common vehicle in the final year.
