Overall, the chart shows that the number of travelers in New York, that use the three airports, had increased over the years. In addition, it shows that LaGuardia was the most dominant, followed by John F.Kennedy, and Newark being the least favored.
In 1995, the majority of New York residents used LaGuardia airport for flights, serving around 35 million passengers that year. This number rose steadily until 1999, and in 2000, it jumped to almost 70 million. Conversly, customers of John F.Kennedy had fluctuated in these five years. In 1995 it had approximatly 25 million passengers, and this number grew to over 45 million in 1997, surpassing LaGuardia to become the top airport. However, the figure started declining, and by 1998, it reached it’s bottom of a little over 30 million, before rising to above 40 million. Newark, on the other hand, had only 15 million passangers in 1995, then it increased dramaticaly until 1998, where it reached its peak of 40 million. After that the figure had not shown noticeable change.
