Overall, LaGuardia was used the most by travelers each year out of the three except in 1997, whereas Newark was the least visited airport for 4 years with 1998 and 1999 being the only anomalies. Total number of passengers recorded in a year was highest in 2000. The number of people who visited LaGuardia rose each year although at fluctuating rates.
To begin with, Newark recorded the lowest number of visitors in a single year in 1995 with just more than 15 million passengers. In 1996, JFK had a significant rise in the travelers by almost 10 million with minor incline in LaGuardia ‘s visitors (40m). Furthermore, 1997 was the year with most similar number across the three airports with less than 10 million gap between them.In the following year, a drastic drop was reported in visitants to the John F.Kennedy airport, whereas both LaGuardia and Newark increased by 2-3 million.Number of Newark passengers stayed constant till 2000 at 42 million with there being a slight further decline in John F.Kennedy passengers (33m) for year 1999.In the end, both LaGuardia and John F.Kennedy saw a substantial jump in travelers with 28 million and 12 million, respectively.
