The column graph compares the numbers of males and females research students of a UK university in 2019 studying science related subjects: (Physics, Astronomy, Geology, Biology, Medicine and Veterinary Medicine).
It is overwhelmed to see the numbers of women engaged in Biology and Medicine with 225 students compared to men with around 180 students. On the contrary, similar pattern can be seen where 150 males are working towards Astronomy and Geology with a females around 70 students. Striking number of male students are enrolled in Physics with 225 students over 30 female learners. In Vetinary Science females (120) outnumbered males (65) with a double marginal difference.
Overall, it could be seen that life science remain the first choice for women. However, males are more into natural sciences.
