Overall, there was an upward trend in the number of adult and special exhibition tourists while the quantity of children visitors saw a minimal decline. It is also noticeable that adult visitors was the most popular of the three types of travelers over the period shown.
According to the chart, in 1997, the number of men and women who visit to museum was by far the highest, standing at 300.100 while the figures for others were much lower, at 120.000 or under. Similarly, the rate of adult travelers was still the most significant at 380.000, which overtook children visitors by nearly 300.000 and exceeded special exhibition tourists by approximately 350.000 at the end of the research period.
As can also be seen in the chart, the number of visitors aged above 18 registered an upward trend, rising significantly to 400.500 from 1997 to 2007 while a different pattern can be observed in the figure for children visitors, which dropped by 700.300 at the same time. Meanwhile, the year 2007 was the biggest total in population of the three types of visitors. From the year 2007 onward, the number of adult tourists started to decrease to 380.000.
