The given stacked bar graph illustrates the segment of total sales made by a car brand in particular continents over the course of 4 years, as of 2010.
From an overall perspective, what immediately stands out from the chart is that there was a downward trend in the total sales proportion of the car company in Europe and North America, whereas the figure for South America showed some fluctuations. It is also noticeable that Asians increased their preference for the producer’s cars throughout the passing years.
Looking first at Asia and South America, the total sales segment generated by an automobile manufacturer in Asia started at 25% in 2006, after which it witnessed a subsequent progressive yearly increase to a half at the end of the period and took the lead in total sales of this producer from 2009 onwards. Meanwhile, the car manufacturer’s total sales percentage in South America fluctuated from 5% to 11%, dropping slowly from 11% in the first year to reach a low of 5% after 3 years, then bouncing back to its initial level in 2010.
Moving on to the two regions with a downward trend, up to 34% of total sales made by that automobile producer in Europe at the beginning of the period, followed by a slight rise to hit a high of 38% in the next 2 years, before experiencing a gradual decline to 30% at the end of the timeframe. The figure for North America saw quite similar changes, falling consistently to 9% from 30% during the years, emerging as the lowest among examined continents in the final year.
