The bar chart illustrates the proportion of total sales of a car manufacturer across different areas between 2006 and 2010.
Overall, there was a consistent increase in the share of total revenue of a car producer in Asia, accounting for the highest sales rate from 2009 onwards. Additionally, a declining trend was observed in the figure in North America, except for Europe, and South America fluctuated to varying degrees.
Regarding the regions with consistent upward and downward trends, in 2006, about 30% of sales were generated by a car manufacturer in North America, compared to 25% in Europe. However, the former experienced a steady decrease to reach 9% in 2010. The latter, by contrast, climbed gradually to a peak of 50% at the final year of this period.
Turning to the remaining areas, the percentage of total revenues for a car producer in Europe initially was 34%, before rising slightly to its highest level of 38% in 2008. Subsequently, this region underwent a moderate decrease, ending at 30% of sales in 2010. South America, otherwise, recorded a negligible share of sales compared to all other regions, decreasing slightly from 11% in 2006 to merely 5% in 2009, but it increased significantly to a recovery of 11% by 2010.
