Overall, the proportion of drug sales in European and American countries experienced a downward trend over the 4-year-period whereas Asia topped the list of drug’s selling market among surveyed regions at the end of the period.
As can be seen from the chart, the percentage of company’s selling drugs in America stood at 41% which was the highest figure by far in 2002 before nearly halving to 27% in 2004. Afterwards, the drug sold level in the US has risen gradually to 30% by 2006. Regarding Europe’s total sales of drugs, there was a marginal increase from 35% in 2002 to peak at 38% in 2004. Subsequently, the figure for Europe has witnessed a fractional dip to 30% by 2006.
Conversely, after accounting for 25% which represented the lowest figure in 2002, the amount of Asian drug sales rocketed dramatically two-fifths in 2006.
