The bar chart given illustrates the proportion of a drug firm in its total sales in terms of three distinct regions, namely, Asia, Europe, and America, over a period of four years, from 2002 onwards.
From an overall perspective, it is evident that the percentage of a drug company’s total sales in Asia showed an upward trend, whereas a reverse pattern could be seen in the remaining categories, except for Europe.
In 2002, the proportion of American drug company’s total profits was highest, at 41%. This was followed by the lower data on Europe, at 34%. Asia, however, accounted for the lowest value, at only a quarter.
In the period between 2002 and 2006, the percentage of profits that came from selling drugs of an American company witnessed a significant decrease from 41% to only 30% in 2006. Before hitting the lowest point at 30%, the figure for Europe increased to 38% in 2004. Meanwhile, Asia slightly increased then surged to reach peak of 40% at the end of the period
