Overall, it is evident that total sales in Asia experienced an increase, in contrast the proportion of American company’s revenue exhibited a decline. The european firm’s sales flactuated over the years.
At the beginning of the period, American drug company’s revenue had the highest share with 41 percent, which declined slightly to 27 percent in 2004. In contrast, the European company’s sales exhibited a growth to 38 percent in 2004 from 34 percent in 2002. Asia, accounted for the lowest proportion in 2002 with 25 percent, which grew dramaticaly to 35 percent and surpassed American firm’s sales in 2004.
Over the next years, the percentage of drug company’s sales in America and Asia experienced an increase and reached 30 and 40 percent, respectively. Conversely, the percentage of European company’s in drug industry decreased considerabely to 30 percent in 2006.
