Overall, recycle of glass was the most significant, while plastic was recycled the least throughout the whole period. In addition, each type of waste were recycled the most in 2002.
In 1992, the percentage of plastic recycle accounted for exactly 10%, whereas cans were the most recycled, comprising under 20%. Proportion of recycled plastic remained stable for the rest of the period, rising slightly to approximately 12% in 1997. Moreover, in 1997 the percentage of cans recycle decreased negligibly by about 2 percentage points, and started growing moderately to an one-third in 2002.
In contrast, the portion of recycled paper and glass were simillar, making up over 15% in 1992. Of note, in 1997, they experienced a dramatic increase to over a quarter and one-third, respectively.
