The bar chart illustrates the percentage of 16-25-year-old women in a certain country participating in sports, in comparison with the percentage of spectators in 2000. It is clear that the number of participants who engaged in tennis, gymnastics, basketball, and horse riding and racing was higher than that of individuals watching these sports, while the opposite was true for the two remaining sports.
In detail, the percentage of females who played tennis was the highest on the chart, at 60%, followed by the proportion of females playing basketball, at around 55%. Additionally, the figures for gymnasts and horse riders were significantly lower than those for the two sports mentioned above. While the number of female spectators watching basketball was the highest and nearly equal to that of basketball players, the proportion of female spectators for other sports was dramatically lower.
In terms of golf and badminton, the number of spectators was nearly three times and twice, respectively, as much as the number of female participants.
