The line graph illustrates the number of men and women in percentages who had high education qualification in such countries as Japan, US, Switzerland, Britain and Germany in 2001.
Overall, while in Switzerland educated males significantly outnumbered females, in Germany men also outnumbered women. In countries such as Britain and Japan, the number of educated males was slightly higher than females, while in the US, women slightly outnumbered men.
It is clear that, while in Switzerland number of males with high education level were more than females, 45% and with 10% differences. Women in Germany outnumbered men with same number. These two countries had the highest percent of people with high education level.
The lowest percent of education level was in Japan, females 25% and males were slightly more 30%. Britain’s residents had higher percent than Japan’s, females 30% and males 35%. However, in US number of well-educated women were more than men with 5% differences, 40% and 35%.
