The line graph compares the proportion of people from different age brackets going to cinema at least one time a month in one European country between 2000 and 2011.
Overall, the percentage of residents across all demographic groups enjoying films at theatre increased throughout the research time frame. In addition, going to cinema was more preferable among people aged from 15 to 24 consitently, while middle citizen show scant interest for such activity.
Regarding categories constituted the highest and lowest percentage, the proportion of demographic group of 15 to 24 year-old going to cinema once a month or more was about 15% in the first year, while that of people aged above 35 was roughly 3%. Subsequently, the figures for the 15-24 years-old cohort observed a sudden surge to approximately 55% in 2010, before slightly declined at nearly 50% in the end of the period, keeping its top postion. In the contrary, there was almost no people in the middle age and older group watching movie in the theater in 2002, then it steadily rose to just over 10% in 2011.
Concerning the remaining categories, only about 10% and 5% resident belonging to age group of 7 to 14 and 25 to 35, respectively, spent pastime in cinema in 2011. The two figures slightly growth to the same number of about 20% in 2007, before both groups ending the period at about 5% higher compared to previous intersected point.
