Looking at the chart in more detail, the percentages of women eating five portions of fruits and vegetables per day was 23% in 2001. In the following years, women witnessed a gradual increase and reached a peak of 35% in 2006, before declining to around 30% at the end of the period.
Regarding the remaining groups, the figure for children started at approximately 13%, it remained relatively unchanged until 2003. After that the figures rose steadily to 26% in 2007 and then decreased minimally to about 24% in the final year. Men followed a similar pattern, staying almost unchanged at 17%, and then increasing to 28% by 2007, before falling to 26% in 2008.
