The bar chart displays the overall percentage of people which lies in elderly group having the age of 65 and above from 1900 to 2000 in US .
firstly it can be clearly visualized from the data that the number of old age people had showed an increse in their population in between these years .
It can be observed that from years 1900 to 1930 the trends of population aged above 85 remains constant whereas their is slight increase in the number of old age people belonging to 75-84 age group from 1% to 1.3 % . Apart from this it can be seen that the one lying in between 65-74 age group have shown a slight change in their population .
furthermore the trends from 1940 onwards have shown increase in population of elderly people of above 85 age group accounting largest in 2000 with 1.5% . Similarly their is slight enhancment in the population that age between 75-84 .
