The bar graph illustrates the amount of youth population (14 years and under) who lived in different countries between 1985 and 2008.
Overall, it is evident that the youth population much more in 1985 than 2008. Additionally, India had the largest portion of teenagers, while Italy had the least for both years.
From the data provided in the bar chart, Italy, Euro Area, the United Kingdom, and the United States had less youth population than the other three countries. Also, Italy, Euro Area, and the UK witnessed a significant increase from about 17% in 1985 to about 9% in 2008, and from approximately 19% in 1985 to 16% in 2008 (Euro Area and the UK had nearly the similar percentage) respectively. However, the USA experineced a modest decline, and reached approximately 21% in 2008.
With regard to the other countries, their youth population figures above 30%, and Indıa had the highest percentage with above 35% in 1985. Similarly, the three countries dropped sharply betwenn 1985 and 2008, and reached about 21% (China and the USA had equal number in 2008), 26%, and 32% respectively. India still had the largest portion of teenagers in 2008.
