The given bar chart depicts the proportion of three different groups of people living in Australia, classified according to their country of birth, who visited four types of places: the zoo, the library, the theatre and the cinema.
Overall, the cinema was the most popular destination among all groups, whereas the theatre recorded the lowest figures. It is also noteworthy that migrants born in non-English-speaking countries recorded significantly higher attendance rates at libraries than the other two groups.
Turning to cinema attendance, Australian-born residents reached the peak at 70%, followed by migrants from English-speaking countries at 65%, while the proportion of migrants from other countries stood at 50%. By contrast, the library was most popular among migrants born in non-English-speaking countries, at approximately 55%. The figures for Australian-born residents and migrants from English-speaking countries were similar, at just under 40% for both groups.
Roughly half of migrants from English-speaking countries visited the zoo, compared with Australian-born residents and migrants from non-English-speaking countries, at just over 40% and around 35%, respectively. A similar pattern can be observed for theatre attendance, where migrants from English-speaking countries again outnumbered the other two groups, although the overall figures were considerably lower.
