The pie chart gives information about how the production of energy in one particular country changed in the years of 1985 and 2003.
Overall, the use of fossil fuels have increased, when the other sources of energy have fallen, especially the nuclear power.
Overall, the use of fossil fuels in energy production increased, while the role of other sources decreased.
At 52%, oil accounted for over half of total production, remaining the industry leader among different resources in a country in 1985. The nuclear chart held the second-largest share, making up about a quarter of all produced energy, while hydro and other renewable resources followed closely, at just 4 per cent and 1 per cent, respectively. Other fossil fuels, such as natural gas and coal are approximately two and three times more used than the alternative sources.
By 2003, the oil and nuclear use of producing energy are less by around one tenth of all than 18 years ago. The coal and natural gas industries had multiplied more than two times than in 1985, but they still did not dominate in 2003. Hydro energy and the renewable almost saved their shares, but the second source is just 3% higher than before.
