The pie charts illustrate the ages of people employed in the UK public sector in the years 2015 and 2020.
An overall look shows that the number of employees who are in their 20s and 40s increased during the 5 year period. However, employment for other age groups like those over 50, fell.
Looking into details, the employment of people under 21 slightly dropped from 14% to 12% after 5 years. Similarily, those who are in their 30s experienced a percentage dip by 10%. In contrast, the amount of individuals in their 20s climbed from 23% to become 33%
Additionally, people aged between 41 and 50 are part of another group that saw a signficant rise between 2015 and 2020, with only 19% of them were employed in 2015 but later jumped to 28%. Though that was not the case for staff members over 50, their number sharply decreased by 7% over the same given period.
