Overall, Poland recorded the highest unemployment rates in both categories, while Denmark had the lowest figures. In all five countries, unemployment among young adults was considerably higher than the overall rate.
In Poland, approximately 37% of people aged 15-24 were unemployed, compared with 15% of the population as a whole. Italy ranked second, with a youth unemployment rate of about 23%, while the overall figure was only 8%. Similarly, Hungary recorded 17% unemployment among young adults and around 7% overall.
Germany and Denmark experienced relatively lower levels of unemployment. In Germany, the proportion of unemployed young people stood at roughly 14%, whereas the overall rate was 10%. Denmark had the lowest figures, with youth unemployment at around 7% and overall unemployment at only 3%.
