Overall, it is clear that health and fitness and less pollution were the most significant reasons for cycling and together accounted for over half of the total, whereas comfort was the main reason for driving.
To begin with, health and fitness and less pollution were the two largest options in the cycling chart, each accounting for 30%. A different pattern can be seen in the driving chart, where mainly is motivated by comfort, which constitutes 40%.
As for other aspects for cycling, motivations such as no parking problem, no costs and faster than driving made up 15%, 12% and 13% respectively. In addition, the second largest reason for driving is distance to work, which made up 21%. Meanwhile, faster than cycling and need to carry things to work both comprise 14% and safer than cycling accounted for 11%.
