Overall, the number of consumers going to a cafe ranked top in all cities in question, except for Adelaide, while the opposite was true for buying fresh coffee.
Observing Sydney and Melbourne, the proportion of people going to a cafe for coffee or tea last month in Melbourne exceeded that of Sydney, at approximately 64% and around 60% respectively. Followed by the percentage of purchasing instant coffee in two metropolises, the figure for Melbourne, at around a half, still higher than for Sydney, at only 45%. By contrast, the proportion of customers buying and drinking fresh coffee and tea Melbourne accounted for almost 43%, which was less than that of Sydney.
Regarding the remaining countries, the quantity of people drinking coffee or tea in a cafe in Adelaide took the second place among three categories while that of other nations ranked first. Moreover, the figures for instant coffee in last 4 weeks in those three nations made up around 50%, whereas, the percentages of people choosing fresh coffee were left behind, which all less than about 10%.
