The pie chart and table give information about popular tourist attractions in Britain in 1999.
Overall, it is clear that the attractions, presented in the pie chart, were mainly divided into four categories, among which the most popular were theme parks and museums and galleries, with almost the same proportions of visitors. The percentage of visitors to different theme parks was given in the table, where almost half preferred Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
Theme parks attracted the largest proportion of visitors, at 38%, followed closely by museums and galleries, at 37%. Historic houses and monuments attracted 16% of visitors, while the lowest proportion was recorded for wildlife parks and zoos, at 9%.
Theme parks offered five attractions. Blackpool Pleasure Beach was the most visited, attracting 47% of the total theme park visitors. Alton Towers and Pleasureland (Southport) showed nearly equal proportions, attracting 17% and 16% of visitors, respectively. Chessington World of Adventures and Legoland had the same proportion, at 10%.
