The pie chart and table give information about popular tourist attractions in Britain in 1999.
Overall, it is clear that attractions, presented in the pie chart were mainly divided into 4 categories, among which the most appreciated ones were theme parks, museums and galleries, with almost the same proportions of visitors. The percentage of attractions being favoured in theme parks were given in the table, where almost half of the visitors preferred Blackpool pleasure beach.
Once again, the biggest proportion belonged to theme parks, as 38% of people opted for them. Likewise, museums and galleries were the most popular at 37%. Regarding historic houses and monuments, only 16% of visitors favored them. The least percentage was seen in the figure of wildlife parks and zoos, at 9%.
Theme parks offered 5 attractions. The blackpool pleasure beach was the most visited among all others, engaging 47% of total visitors to the park. Alton towers and pleasureland(southport) showed nearly equal proportions, attracting 17% and 16% of visitors, respectively. Surprisingly, the figures for chessington world of adventures and legoland were equally the same, at 10%.
