Overall, the percentage of ownership of electrical appliances increased, while the amount of time that people spend on cleaning decreased throughout the given period.
In the beginning, the percentage of using refrigerators was 0%, however, the figure saw an upward trend and climbed to 100% by 2019. Regarding using vacuum cleaners, the data started at 30% in 1920. Afterwards, the percentage rose significantly to 70% in 1960, being the same with the percentage of using washing machines. The figure continued growing and stood at 100% in 2019. As for the percentage of using washing machines, the figure was the largest at the beginning with 40%. Nevertheless, it experienced the smallest rise and ended at approximately 75% by the end of the period.
Regarding the number of hours of houswork per week, the figure started at 50% in 1920. Afterwards, it saw a downward trend and stood at 20% in 1960. After that, the figure slightly dropped to 10% in 2019.
