The two pie charts compare the proportion of different vehicle used by citizens in 2010 with that in 2020
Overall, car accounted for the largest percentage of the chart in both years, whereas others category remained the smallest figure. Meanwhile, public transport had increasingly been preferred by citizens over time.
In terms of car and public transport, two groups represented the most preferred vehicle choice in both years, with car keeping the first place and public transport in the second place. However, those two groups showed a totally different trend. While the proportion of residents using car fell from 50% in 2010 to 40% in 2020, the figure for public transport increased by 10% from the starting point of 20%.
Turning to the smaller categories, it is evident that both bicycle and walking experienced the most significant change. In 2010, the number of bicycle use only made up 10%, while that in walking was 15%. By 2020, bicycle(15%) was 6 percentage points higher than walking(9%). In contrast, the others category almost unchanged over the time, with 5% in 2010 and 6% in 2020.
