The bar chart illustrates the results from a vote of business people in terms of which factors make good managers from 2010 to 2020.
Overall, it is noticeable that the 3 factors: good communication, empathy and vision were increasingly important in a great manager, while the others did not undergo any change. In addition, responsibility was consistently considered as a vital character that managers should have.
There were increases in the results of votes for good communication, empathy and vision, however, their patterns were different. In 2010, communication skills were rated 4 and then increased by 1 in the next 10 years. Meanwhile, empathy and vision were rated very low at the beginning. They started with 1 and 2, and then rose sharply to 4 in 2020.
Responsibility and transparency’s importance were the same as it start and end, however, there were differences between these 2 factors in 2015. In particular, the vote’s result for responsibility was 5 in 2010 and 2020, but in 2015, the figure declined to 4. While the importance of transparency was voted at its peak at 4 in 2015, and declined to 3 in the 2020.
