The given bar chart compares the proportion of absenteeism in European coutries cateforied by five reasons in the years 2000, 2005, and 2010.
Overall, most employees dropped out of working due to ilness, while stress is less common reason. It is also notice that total absenteeism rate in European countries was more likely to decrease over the period.
Looking at the chart in more detail, although ilness tended to decreased gradually from about 43% in 2000 to 35% in the next ten years, it was sill remained the main factor causing absenteeism. Followed by the family responsibilities factor with around 25% in the whole period. Next, person needs factor which accounted for roughly 13% in 2000, increased dramatically to 23% in 2010.
Turning to the second data set, stress issue is the least common reason why people gave for not going to work. This figure had the small numbers at 2000 with about 6%, then declined slightly before recovered significantly to 13% in the end of period. About unexpected problems factor, its rate fluctuated ranging from 8% to 14% over the period.
