Overall, it can be clearly seen that young people spent more in general in 2014. It is notable that categories of products that 18-20-year-olds spent the most money on were food, clothes, and smartphones, while expances on toileteries and books were sugnificantly lower.
In terms of the most popular categories of products, in both 2010 and 2014 young people spent the most amount of money on food, which stood at about $37 in 2010 and raised to around $44 in 2014. The second most popular category were clothes, which were $25 in 2010 and remained the same in 2014. In 2010, 18-20-year-olds spent $20 on smartphones, which is more than a half of their expances on food the same year. This number rose to approximately $27 in 2014.
As for other two categories of products, the young spent much less on it. Expances on toilletries stood at $18 in 2010, with numbers rising slightly to $20 in 2014. Simularly, the amount of money spent on books was quite low, which stood at $10 in 2010 and halved in 2014.
