The bar chart presented illustrates the number of dissertations composed by pupils in a UK college in three distinct years, 1990, 2000 and 2010. There has been an overall trend of increase in two categories, though in the other two, changes have alternated.
The most striking feature is the amount of students who have completed their final essay on time in 2010, the figure being merely over 350. Consequently, there were not as many works brought in late, failed to write or rewritten, none of those surrpassing the number of 50 people.
In contrast, in the previous years, it can be seen that there weren’t as many dissertations completed on time, the lowest number being 150 in 1990, half of the amount in 2010. However, there were more people who failed to write it than in the 2000’s and 2010’s, the total being over 50. I would also like to add that even though there were more pupils who completed their assignments on time in the year 2000, around 200, there were also a slightly under 50 which had to rewrite it.
In the light of all the above, the amount of essays completed on time and the ones brought in late doubled along 30 years, but there have been fluctuating changes in the other two categories.
