The given bar chart illustrates the numbers of sea creatures, namely seals, whales, as well as dolphins, registered in the Gormez Straits over a 12-year period from 2006 to 2018.
Overall, it is readily apparent that the population of dolphins increased sharply throughout the period, whereas the numbers of seals and whales remained relatively stable with minor fluctuations over the same period of time.
As shown, the number of dolphins was the smallest at the start of the period, accounting for nearly 17 in 2006. However, this figure rose dramatically and reached a peak of approximately 52 in 2018, clearly showing threefold growth over the entire period.
In comparison, the populations of seals and whales were higher at the beginning of the period, accounting for roughly 42 and 24, respectively. Despite some fluctuations, these figures remained relatively stable by the end of the period, constituting about 45 and 27 in 2018, respectively.
