Overall, when it came to movies, people in their twenties showed a strong preference for comedy, while animation attracted the younger one the most. Additionally, the revenue of romance, action and comedy tickets sold to adults was higher than that of people aged 10 to 19 except for animation and science fiction, chosen more by the adolescent moviegoers.
In detail, the largest sales difference was documented in comedy with roughly 150 tickets sold to people in their twenties, five times higher than the sales for younger audience, accounting for just over 30 tickets. Similarly, the massive sales gap between two age cohorts was also observed in romance with the respective sales reaching about 120 and under 20 tickets for individual within 20 to 29 and 10 to 19 age brackets. In contrast, action was the genre that exhibited balanced admissions, 10-19 age demographic accounting for about 80 tickets and 5 tickets higher for the older audiences.
Animation and science fiction sessions were prominently favored by the young. Concerning the animation, with a staggering ticket sale of over 130, being the top choice for people aged 10 to 19, whereas this genre was the least favorable for adults, experiencing the lowest seats sold of approximately 50 tickets. Furthermore, generating the second biggest sales for adolescence, science fiction comprised over 120 tickets, around 20 tickets sold higher than those of people within 20-29 age bracket.
